Using eLink with Firefox
eLink runs noticeably faster in Firefox (versions 1.5, 2 and 3) than it does in Internet Explorer 7.0. However, the ActiveX objects which eLink uses for some operations are not supported in Firefox. There was a PlugIn for Firefox 1.5 that allowed ActiveX objects to work but this is no longer supported in Firefox 2 and most users should go to version 2 due to some incompatibility issues and improved support over Version 1.5.
Some eLink users run Firefox most of the time and open eLink in IE7 occasionally to use the ActiveX objects.
Alternatively, you can add a Firefox plugin called IETab which allows you to open eLink in an IE tab within Firefox. Quite a good compromise on a Windows machine. Get the plugin here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419
