Logging into eLink Lite

Signing into eLink Lite is slightly different to the full eLink system. Goto www.elinkuk.co.uk and click on the Login tab. You will now be required to enter your registered email address and elink password. Assuming your credentials match those on record, you will be taken to your eLink account ready to work as normal.

If a particular email address is registered on several databases, users may be offered a choice of which database they wish to use. How is it possible to register a single user on several databases? eLink Lite account management allows users to create additional user accounts. It is possible to create accounts on different databases through this method. It is not permissible to register the same email address as the account holder for two different eLink Lite accounts.

Note that the Login tab also provides the point of entry for starting the eLink Lite account management system and the eLink Lite trial management system.

On entry to the eLink Lite system, any messages of the day from the eLink Lite system will be presented to the user. In particular, we remind users of the status of any trials that they are running. We also give notification to all users of any potential difficulties with the overall eLink Lite account. For instance, if we have recently revised our prices (a rare event), account managers will need to review and revise their subscription to ensure uninterupted access to eLink Lite. By warning all users of this sort of situation, we try to ensure that our warning emails are not accidentally overlooked by the account manager(s). In these warnings, we avoid specific details of the problem, but request and require an account manager to login to the eLink Lite Management system to review its current status.

Login Problems?

There are two possible causes of login problems associated with eLink Lite. Firstly, eLink Lite will only support one login per computer. If you attempt to run multiple eLink sessions from a single PC, it is possible that they will conflict and cause errors.

There is a secondary issue that could, theoretically cause users to experience momentary login problems. These may occur when changes are applied to the eLink Lite account through the eLink account management system, at which time the eLink licences are reapplied to the database. This state lasts for a matter of seconds, so are unlikely to cause problems. If you experience an abnormal login rejection, it is worth waiting a few seconds and then trying again!
