When do changes take effect?

When making changes to eLink Lite Accounts, it is important to recognise that not all changes will take immediate effect. This is because some changes require payment to be arranged or modified prior to becoming active. Other changes, such as changes of user names and passwords have no cost implications, and so take immediate effect.

In summary, the following changes will not take effect until appropriate payment arrangements have been made:

1. Adding users
2. Changing user licencing between concurrent and full users.
3. Deactivating users.
4. Activating modules on paid licences.
5. Deactivating modules on paid licences.

The following changes take immediate effect:
1. Changes to user names and passwords
2. Changes to module trials

Note that if a module trial is converted to a paid licence, the trial will cease immediately, but the paid licence will only become active on approval of payment. It is recommended that such changes should be performed with immediate adjustment of the payment schedule to achieve continuous service.

Changing the account holder email address and password may create conflicts within the account management system. It is recommended that the account holder should logout and log back in again immediately after making any changes to their account credentials.
