eLink Product Manager
We use this as a Product Manager does, so that we can see the progress being made on a product by product basis. We can see everything focused from a Product (or Service Provided) point of view, who the customers are, what the profitability is, how good the sales prospects are looking, everything.
The base information includes supplier, the product reference, two prices, a default quantity and a Memo field for detailing the product definition and showing other management comments.
This information is used automatically by being linked whenever we have a recognised sales opportunity, or is included in any document, or with the project, contact and companies linked, then all these links are immediately reflected in the Product record. So we can see who are the customers and the customer contacts for a particular product or in which projects this product is included.
The actions / tasks section we use for anything related to enhancing the product, its pricing or discussing how best to use it and in introducing new products.
