When you click the demo hyperlink in the box on the right hand side of this page, it will open a new window where you can login to our demonstration system. Please use the username: demo with the password: demo
To improve your experience with the software please read and follow the hints below:
1. Integration with MS Word for Document templates etc
Open Word > go to Tools > Macro > Security > on the Security Level tab the setting needs to be Low or Medium Security; on the Trusted Sources tab tick both the tick boxes at the bottom of the tab (some earlier versions of Word only have one tick box, please tick it).
2. Integration with MS Excel for report exports etc
Open Excel > go to Tools > Macro > Security > on the Security Level tab the setting needs to be Low or Medium Security; on the Trusted Sources tab tick both the tick boxes at the bottom of the tab (some earlier versions of Excel only have one tick box, please tick it).
3. Integration through MS Internet Explorer
Once the login window has opened, go to Tools > Internet Options
On the General Tab > click the Settings button > (check for newer version of stored pages section) and check "every visit to the page"
On the Security tab > highlight Trusted Sites > click the Sites… button > untick the require server verification tick box > type http://app02006.global-sp.net/ in the add this website to the zone box and click Add > then click OK > then click the Custom Level… button > set all ActiveX options to Enable and set Enable for Cookies both Signed and Unsigned (if there is no option for this, please go to the privacy tab and select Websites and allow http://app02006.global-sp.net/).
On the Advanced tab > clear the tickbox ‘Reuse windows for launching shortcuts’ (in earlier versions of Internet Explorer where this option is not available then tick the checkbox ‘Launch browser windows in a separate process’). Click the OK button.
You are now back to the login window for the demonstration system (database Alias is STANDARD). Please add this page as a favourite to your favourites list.
Login to the system using the login name (not case sensitive) “demo” and password (case sensitive) “demo”.
4. Integration of eLink Command Centre
You are back to the Tools screen > please ensure that Word, Excel and Outlook are closed on your computer > click the Options hyperlink at the bottom of the list > then click the Install Add-In Components hyperlink at the bottom of this page > this will download an installation program (taking between 30 seconds and a few minutes depending upon your internet connection speed) > please say yes to installing Midas.dll and to Add-In components > please select English when the installation routine starts > please accept the default settings on each page of the installation (except the page with three tick boxes, make sure eLink Commander and Outlook Add-In tick boxes are ticked) > run the installation > Word and Excel will open briefly during this process > then click Finish > you are back to the Options screen > please close this using the X > please close the Tools screen using the X > you are back to the Navigator Bar.
This sets up a ‘Favourites’ pop-up screen which shows:
- recently accessed records, the most recent 10 of each of contacts, companies, projects, actions and diary entries
- your selected favourite contacts, documents, projects and queries
- specific URL calls, e.g. Google, a combined diary, resources diary

A butterfly icon has now appeared in your toolbar at the bottom right of your screen > please left click on the Butterfly and select login > enter your username and password and select the relevant Alias (STANDARD - which will be remembered automatically in the future) > this should refresh the eLink Navigator Bar.
